It’s 1918 in London, England and we find Fiona Figg on the verge of her marriage to Captain Archie Somersby. But while she’s making preparations, sidekick Kitty Lane lands herself in a heap of trouble, suffering from amnesia after an attack by an unknown assailant. And Fiona is on the case to find out what is going on.
Just to complicate matters a bit more, Fredrick Fredricks is back. Is he there to help derail Fiona’s wedding plans, to help her find out what happened to Kitty, to protect Fiona from Kitty’s attacker…or all three?

Kelly Oliver’s skill at creating 1918 London is amazing. She creates such real social events, draws on the suffragette movement history and writes interesting, multi-layered characters. She then gives those characters a mystery and a story worthy of their efforts, with twists and turns in both the mystery they’re set to solve and in their personal lives.
Looking forward to the next installment in this series.
