In this next installment in the Cheese Shop Mystery series, Team Cheese is at it again on the hunt for another killer.
It’s the second anniversary of Willa Bauer opening Curds and Whey, her successful cheese shop in Yarrow Glen in the Sonoma Valley.
But things are complicated since Willa’s ex-fiance and the former best friend he left Willa for are opening a pop-up chocolate shop at a local cake shop. And by the close of business, the town’s newest reporter is dead…by chocolate. Willa’s ex begs for her help to prove his innocence and she ends of saying yes, much as she doesn’t want to help him.
Business falls off at all the local food-based businesses as locals and tourists are afraid to eat from their establishments. Willa and Team Cheese have their work cut out for them to find out who the killer is…and why the reporter was murdered.
The author is developing the characters in this series well, strengthening their relationships and interactions, while each mystery created is better than than last one.
